Asma polyurethane is a company which specializies in manufactering solid and unfoamed casted polyurethane, an elastic material with extraordinary mechanical properties.

Polyurethane is the ideal choice if you need high wear resistance in a dry surrounding under normal temperature condition.
Applications at elevated temperatures (more than 60-80 ° C) or in humid environment require specific formulations with higher hydrolysis resistance (e.g. in tropical climatic zones).
Polyurethane should not be used with strong acids and lyes nor with temperatures exceeding 125 ° C (exception: Asmaprene LC which has good chemical resistance..).
Polyurethane elastomers can easily be glued onto various surfaces. You can therefore use commercial glue for larger surfaces or instant glue for small points. We recommend to remove the grease from the surface which is to be glued upon (eg. with acetone) and eventually to roughen the area.
Do not do any welding with coated metal parts. The adhesive surface is destroyed by the effect of heat (exceeding 120-150°C) and the coating peels off.
Just like any other plastic polyurethane is not conductive. Please bear in mind that the contact with other plastic surfaces can possibly cause static charging. (Special polyurethane types with antistatic fillers are available on request – please contact us)
